The Rock Boys National Team Starts 3–1, Looks to Keep Momentum

December 2, 2025

The Rock School Boys National Team, led by 17-year Head Coach Justin Harden, is off to a strong 3–1 start through the early season. Their only setback came in a close 68–65 loss to The Villages Charter School, a tough road test that challenged the team’s depth and resilience.

The squad opened with an electric 79–57 home win over SIAA rival DME, fueled by sharpshooting from newcomer Jacob Pleyer (2026), who scored 19 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting to ignite the offense.

Michigan signee Joseph Hartman has been the team’s steady hand, averaging 10.5 points per game, while DeAndre Harvey (2026) leads the scoring attack with 16.7 points per game. Freshman Zaire Colbert (2029) has been nothing short of sensational as the freshman is averaging  9.7 points and 7 assists per game, showing poise and maturity beyond his years.

Inside, The Rock has been without senior Hendrix Loughridge (Lipscomb signee), but junior Much Gatdet has stepped up, recording his first career double-double — 10 points and 12 rebounds — against DME. On the perimeter, Trace Westercamp (Florida Gulf Coast signee) and Darius White provide scoring versatility, and 6’6″ freshman Avery Jones (2029) is expected to make his season debut by mid-December, adding size and depth to the front-court.

The Rock hits the road Tuesday night in Sarasota, FL, to face Victory Rock, looking to build on their strong start and continue momentum in the 2025–2026 season.
