The Rock Basketball program proudly celebrates Coach Justin Harden as he begins his 17th, and final, season as head coach of the boys basketball team. A fixture in the program for over two decades, Harden originally joined The Rock as an assistant coach, serving four years in that role before being promoted to head coach in 2009.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Harden has amassed an impressive 391–180 record, including winning 5 SIAA State Championships, establishing The Rock as one of the premier basketball programs in the state, and a respected name on the national prep scene. Under his leadership, the program has produced numerous collegiate and professional players who continue to make an impact on and off the court.
Reflecting on his journey, Coach Harden expressed deep gratitude for those who have contributed to the program’s ongoing success.
“I’ve been blessed to work alongside incredible assistant coaches throughout my career,” Harden said. “They’ve challenged me, supported me, and made me a better coach. None of our success happens without their commitment and belief in what we’re building together.”
Coach Harden also credited the many athletes who have come through the program for helping shape its legacy.
“We’ve had some great players wear The Rock jersey over the years,” he added. “Their toughness, talent, and character have defined who we are as a program. I’m proud of the young men and grown men they’ve become and the standard they’ve helped set for those who follow.”
As Coach Harden enters his 17th season, his passion for player development, faith-driven leadership, and pursuit of excellence remain at the core of The Rock Basketball program—a legacy built on toughness, appreciation, accountability, respect, and responsibility.
