On Tuesday evening, February 13th, The Rock honored the seniors of the National Team in their final home game.
The three seniors honored: Ryan Jones Jr, Kevin Peyrolon, and Erik Taylor.
Ryan “RJ” Jones has been a student at The Rock School since the 4th grade. RJ has been a key contributor to the National Team since he was added to the team as a 6’6″ 8th-grader.
As an 8th grader, RJ scored 37 points in a game, including a school game record 9 3FGs made. As a freshman, RJ set a TRS record for points in a game with 44. He once again made 9 3FGs that game as well.
RJ has scored nearly 2000 points in his TRS career, in spite of only playing 5 games as a junior and 14 as a senior.
He has signed to play at and attend Virginia Tech University and is ranked in the top 60 in the ESPN National Player Rankings.
Kevin Peyrolon is in his first season at The Rock and is from Barcelona, Spain.
The 6’7″ forward has spent time as a starter throughout this season and has been a regular contributor for the Lions.
He is considering several options for his future in basketball and academics.
Erik Taylor is in his first season at The Rock School as well, and is from Orlando, FL where he previously attended Edgewater and Winter Haven high schools.
Erik came to The Rock after playing on Team JudahNation with teammates RJ and Evan Sterck.
Erik has had a strong HS career playing on varsity since he was a freshman.
